Memes are the usual use, but they are not the only one. The same templates get used for business promotion, brand and product videos, edits, reaction content and anything else that needs a recognisable moment people already understand.

Every template has a preview and a direct download, with no sign-up in the way. The site is run by a small team and adds new templates every day.

Yes - completely. Every template is free to download and use, nothing is behind a paywall, and there is no premium tier or membership.

The only place money is involved anywhere on the site is the support page, and that is entirely voluntary - a way to chip in towards hosting if you want to. Nothing you can do here depends on it, and nothing is held back from people who do not.

No. Downloads are open to everyone, signed in or not, and always will be.

An account is for the parts of the site that are yours - a profile, requesting templates, and the features being added around them.

Daily, usually between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM UTC.

Trending scenes tend to go up the same day they blow up, so it is worth checking back if something has just happened.

Yes. Nothing is deleted to make room - the whole back catalogue stays up and searchable, going back to the site's earliest posts.

Use the search at the top of any page, or browse by category.

One is on the way. A built-in editor is being built and will be added to the site - you will be able to caption and cut a template without leaving the page.

Until then, the site does one job properly: give you the clean, high quality source clip, so whatever you edit in - CapCut, VN, Alight Motion, Premiere - starts from the best possible file rather than something already squashed by a browser.

Open the template and use the download button under the clip. Some templates have more than one version - pick the one you want first.

On a phone the file lands in your Downloads folder, and most gallery apps pick it up from there within a moment.

Try it once more first - a failed download is nearly always the connection dropping rather than the file being broken.

If it still fails: turn off any download manager or ad blocker for the page, then try a different browser. If none of that works, tell us which template it was and we will check the file itself.

Most templates are MP4 video, kept at the best quality the source allows and playable in every editor and on every phone without converting anything.

Audio templates and image templates come in the ordinary formats their editors expect, so they drop straight into a timeline the same way.

Nothing is re-encoded down to save space - templates go up at the highest quality available for that source.

No. The files are clean - no logo, no stamp, nothing burnt into the corner. What you download is what you edit.

Yes. The site works in any modern browser on any device - Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac - and the download is the same file either way.

That is exactly what they are for - Reels, Shorts, TikToks, edits, memes, business and brand promotion, whatever you are making. Use them, build on them, put your own work on top of them. No credit is required, though it is always welcome.

There is one line. A template is raw material for something of your own, not something to re-post as it came. Taking our templates and publishing them unchanged - as a template library, a downloads page, a feed of them, or anything that simply hands out what we produced - is not allowed under the terms of service, and those uploads may be taken down.

Put simply: edit with them freely, do not redistribute them.

Edits on monetised channels are normal and expected, and plenty of businesses use these templates to promote products and services.

What matters is the clip itself. Some templates here are licensed, permitted or made by us; others are scenes from films, shows or sport that still belong to whoever made them. The Template Information section under each download says which, so check there before an advert, a client deliverable or a paid brand post rather than assuming a download is a licence.

The terms of service have the full position, and if you are unsure about one particular template, ask us.

Check the template's own page first. The copyright position for each template is set out in the Template Information section under the download, and that is the accurate answer for that particular file - not a general rule.

Where a template carries no clearance, treat it as source material you are editing rather than cleared stock footage: automatic matching on YouTube and Instagram can flag a clip however you came by it. Short edited clips used transformatively usually pass, but no template site anywhere can promise that, and any that does is guessing.

In many cases, yes. A number of the templates here are licensed, or used with the permission of the people who made the original footage, and some are produced by us outright. For those, Meme Templates Pro holds the rights - including the standing to have copies taken down wherever they appear.

Where a template is cleared in that way, it is stated in the Template Information section on that template's page. That section is the right place to look before using anything commercially, and it is why the answer differs from template to template rather than being one blanket rule for the whole site.

On a phone, CapCut, VN and Alight Motion cover almost everything. On a computer, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut's desktop version.

All of them take the MP4 straight from your downloads - no converting, no importing tricks.

We find them. Scenes that are already circulating as memes get tracked down, cut cleanly, checked and posted - we are not cutting templates to order or generating anything.

Every template is looked at by a person before it goes up, which is why the quality stays even and why nothing unsuitable slips through.

Yes. Name the scene on the request page and we will go and find it, or attach the clip yourself and we will get it up.

Requests are only taken through that page - not by email, and not through social media replies. The form captures what is actually needed to track a scene down, so a request sent any other way cannot be worked on.

You will need to be signed in to send one, and requests several people ask for are handled first.

A confirmation is emailed to the address on your account as soon as a request goes through. If you did not receive it, check your spam and promotions folders.

No confirmation in any folder means the request did not reach us - send it again through the request page. If the confirmation did arrive, it is in hand: finding a good, clean source for a scene takes time, and requests several people ask for are worked on first.

No - requests go through the request page only. Emailed and messaged requests are not tracked and will not be worked on.

It is not bureaucracy for its own sake: the form records the scene, the source and any reference you attach in one place, so nothing gets lost in an inbox and every request is looked at in the order it arrived.

Not directly to the site, no. Everything is checked before it is published, which is what keeps the quality even and keeps the library clean and safe to browse.

Send the clip in through the request page and it will be looked at - if it fits, up it goes.

Yes. Template pages have Meme Examples slots showing what people have actually made with that template, and those are yours to fill - send yours in through the get featured page.

It is free and entirely optional, on both sides: you choose whether to send one, and templates work perfectly well with the slots empty. If yours goes up it is shown as an example on that template's page, which is a fair bit of traffic for a link back to you.

Yes. There are no user uploads, and every template is reviewed before publishing, so nothing explicit or unsafe gets in.

If you ever find something that should not be here, tell us and it comes down.

An account unlocks the parts of the site that have to belong to somebody rather than to a browser. Sending a template request needs one. So does your own profile, where you can add a display name and your social handles if you want to. Keeping your own library of templates is part of it, and more is being built on top.

All of it follows the account rather than the device, so what you set up on your phone is waiting on your computer.

Downloading never needs an account. That part stays open to everybody.

Check your spam and promotions folders. If it is not there either, the sign-up screen has a resend button after a short wait.

Signing in with Google skips verification altogether if you would rather not wait for a mail at all.

Use Forgot password on the sign in page. A reset link is emailed to you - if it does not arrive, check your spam and promotions folders.

If the password is right but sign-in still fails, the account was probably created with Continue with Google. Use that button instead of a password - it is the same account either way.

Try Continue with Google first - if you ever signed in that way, it takes you straight back into the same account.

Otherwise try a password reset on each address you might have used. A reset email only arrives at an address that actually has an account, so it doubles as a way of finding out which one it was. Still stuck? Tell us what you remember and we will look it up.

Sign in and go to your account page - the option is there. No email, no waiting on us.

Deleting removes the account and everything held under it, rather than hiding it. There is no waiting period and nothing is kept back afterwards.

Yes - sign in and open your account page. Your email address, your password and the rest of your profile can all be changed there, and nothing under the account is affected.

Your email address, whatever you have done under the account, and anything you chose to put on your profile - a display name and your social handles, both entirely optional. Leave those blank and they are simply not stored.

No phone number and no address. No card or payment details either - the only optional payment on the site is on the support page, and that goes through the payment provider rather than through us, so those details never touch this site. Nothing is ever sold or handed to advertisers.

Downloading does not need an account at all, so the whole library is usable without giving us anything. The privacy policy has the full picture, and your account page lets you change or delete any of it yourself.

Yes, and quickly. Everything goes through the DMCA and copyright policy - it sets out what to send so a claim can be acted on straight away, rather than going back and forth for details.

Tell us which template it is and whether you would like it credited or removed. Removals are handled without argument, and credit is added the same day where that is what you would prefer. You do not need a lawyer or a form letter to do this.

No. Use what you download without crediting anyone. A mention or a tag is always appreciated, but nothing is conditional on it.

Point us at it and it gets corrected. Getting attribution right matters more than being quick about it, so corrections are always welcome - contact us.
